Cinemaximiliaan is een platform van en door nieuwkomers in België. Wat begon als een reeks geïmproviseerde filmvertoningen in het Brusselse Maximiliaanpark, groeide uit tot activiteiten in vluchtelingencentra en cultuurhuizen, een netwerk van vrijwilligers en recent nog een filmproductie-huis. Niemand minder dan de Hongaarse filmlegende Béla Tarr ondersteunde het afgelopen jaar enkele regisseurs in hun maakproces.
Vanavond tonen we een selectie van kortfilms, in aanwezigheid van de mensen van Cinemaximiliaan.

This film recounts some fragments of stories from the life of an Afghan family in Iran and the hardships they undergo which ultimately force them to flee to Europe.
